CANDLE CARE GUIDE
Before lighting your candle each time, trim the wick to about ¼ inch. This helps prevent the flame from becoming too large, which can lead to uneven burning or soot buildup. Use a wick trimmer or scissors to ensure precision.]
2. Allow a Full Melt Pool
When you first burn your candle, let it burn long enough for the entire surface to melt to the edges of the container (this can take 2–3 hours). This prevents tunneling and helps the candle burn evenly in future uses.
3. Burn for 3-4 Hours at a Time
For optimal performance, burn your candle for no more than 3–4 hours at a time. Extinguishing it after this period helps preserve the fragrance and prevents the wick from mushrooming.
4. Keep Your Candle Clean
If you notice any soot on the glass or wax, gently wipe it off with a dry cloth before your next burn. Also, avoid introducing any foreign objects into the wax, such as matches or trimmings.
5. Safely Extinguish the Flame
Use a snuffer or gently blow out the flame to extinguish your candle. Avoid blowing too hard, as this can cause wax to splatter. Alternatively, dipping the wick into the melted wax can extinguish it with minimal smoke.
6. Keep Away from Drafts
Place your candle in a draft-free area, away from vents, fans, and open windows. Drafts can cause the flame to flicker or lean, leading to uneven burning or excess soot.
7. Store Properly
When not in use, store your candle in a cool, dry place with the lid on, if possible, to protect the wax and preserve the fragrance. Direct sunlight or high temperatures can cause the candle to discolor or soften.
8. Use Caution Around Children and Pets
Always burn candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface, and keep them out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
